Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins this morning. This is an annual tradition that the kids look forward to! We have never done the "triangle eyes and toothy smile" jack-o-lanterns. Rather, we carve designs that we either print off the internet or that I draw myself. We use the little saws that come in the pumpkin carving kits you can buy at just about any store this time of year. We transfer the designs to the pumpkins by following the outline with a pushpin. Its really easy, and the results are wonderful!

Absolutely FABULOUS! I've loved watching the pumpkin-carving skills develop over the years...you kids did a wonderful job. I'm impressed. Thanks for the pictures! XXOO Gram

Love the pumpkins! We didn't have a chance to carve pumkins yet. Maybe today.

Can you believe we actually forgot to carve ours? A very hectic week indeed! Now we are thinking about keeping them another couple of weeks and starting a new tradition - carving them for Thanksgiving of something we are thankful for! Yours always looks so great and your kids look like they have such a blast! E&E asked about the "fear Not" party because they said it was the "best thing ever" so maybe in years to come we can have a repeat! Hope you are all well - E is doing wonderfully well now and the doctor is amazed but it was a good opportunity to give the witness of prayer! D's work is very difficult - it is now past midnight and he isn't home yet and went in at 7am this morning and has to be back at 6am tomorrow. Pray for him, please. Lots of layoffs and difficulties. Let me know what you all have been up to - love ya!
