Happy Easter

We had a very nice Easter holiday. Last Tuesday night we enjoyed a Passover Seder demonstration at our church, given by Mr. Sheldon Alexander, a Jewish believer who came to know Jesus Christ when he was a young man in TX and was invited to attend a Passover Seder hosted by Jews for Jesus. Now he enjoys sharing the Passover traditional meal with Christians and showing how the elements so beautifully point to Jesus Christ as Savior.

We decorated sugar cookies on Saturday.

My 21-year-old daughter requested Resurrection Rolls, which are a family tradition. ( marshmallow dipped in butter / cinnamon sugar, rolled up in crescent roll - marshmallow melts and leaves the roll hollow, like Jesus's empty tomb!)

On Easter morning, my children STILL enjoy searching for their Easter baskets ( which the girls helped hide the night before ) and candy, which are hidden throughout the house. ( they are are 10, 15, 19, and 21 )

We are still decorating eggs with wax and dye.... didn't get them done before Sunday.

These family traditions are all fun, but the reason that we can enjoy all this expressed in this beautiful worship song. Christ is Risen! Hallelujah!
